As a Project Professional, you will independently execute technical solutions based on Scope of Work (SOW) documents, ensuring accurate and timely delivery of project milestones. You’ll support infrastructure design, perform on-site hardware installations, and troubleshoot deployment issues across hardware, software, and network systems. This role requires strong documentation practices and clear communication with clients and internal teams to align expectations and provide updates. You’ll also contribute to drafting SOWs, estimating labor, tracking project progress, and identifying potential risks. In addition, you’ll participate in project meetings and mentor junior technicians, helping drive consistency and quality in project execution. This is a hands-on role suited for a proactive professional with a solid foundation of experience, capable of working independently and contributing effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Execute technical solutions per SOWs with minimal oversight, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Assist in designing infrastructure solutions that align with project requirements and future scalability.
  • Perform on-site hardware installations and upgrades, ensuring proper integration with existing systems.
  • Assist with drafting the technical steps of SOWs and provide labor estimates for project proposals and planning.
  • Communicate clearly with clients and internal teams to manage updates and expectations.
  • Create and maintain project documentation reflecting system changes and implementations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to hardware, software, and network deployments.
  • Monitor project progress, identify risks, and assist in developing mitigation strategies.
  • Contribute to project meetings with updates and input on technical challenges.
  • Train and support junior technicians on tools, procedures, and best practices.
Qualifications
  • 4-year college degree (IT or similar relevance).
  • 2+ years of customer service experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure, system deployments, or technical project support.
  • Experience with ConnectWise Automate, ConnectWise PSA a plus.
  • Experience with Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Cloud technologies, virtualization technologies, Cisco networking products a plus.
Certifications
  • CompTIA A+, Network+, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner required.
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Microsoft 365 Certified: Endpoint Administrator Associate (MD-102), ITIL v4 Foundation preferred.
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel and reach
  • Must be able to speak, write, read, and understand English
  • Must have visual acuity
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds

Rocket IT supports an office-centric hybrid model that promotes teamwork and fosters strong relationships between team members. Full-time team members are required to be in our Suwanee office at least 3 days per week and may work remotely the other 2 days. Some exceptions may apply.
